Description
PostStation is a rich thin client multi-tier application of the Belgian Post. Rolled out in 1550 Belgian Post Office on merely 4500 workstations since 01/01/2005.

Release 1.8: Implementation of new functionalities:
  • Management of cash position within the different Post Offices (General Fund Interface),
  • Reconciliation: verification of PostStation transactions corresponds with transactions at the Financial systems of the Belgian Post.
  • Migration of the management of National Mandates from a mainframe environment towards the PostStation application.
Release 2.0: Port Paid at Destination, Secured Mail, Post-boxes
  • Port Paid at Destination (PPD): Design of advanced automation to process the handling of PPD consignments (creation of contracts, generation of identification codes and processing of distribution).
  • Secured Mail en Post Packets: preparation of PostStation to handle large scale processing of secured consignments. With the use of barcode data the exact status of a secured consignment can be requested and traced.
  • Post-boxes: rework of treatment of post-boxes as it was implemented at first in PostStation.
Release 3.0: Port Paid at Destination (2), Response Number
  • Port Paid at Destination (PPD): extension on the earlier functionalities implemented within the PostStation Release 3.0 (Management of contracts and campaigns, management different target addresses,...).
  • Response Number: Design of advanced automation to process the handling of postings with a response number (management of contracts and the different stages of the complete process until sending payment information towards accounting system)

Scope study, business and functional analysis, creation of use cases and models. Design of PostStation Functional modules and database architecture to cope with these new functionalities. Project Planning for the design, test and Pilot implementation. Coaching and guiding of developers during the implementation phase.
